After what seems an eternity, 2020 is finally coming to a close. Most official social media accounts are on hiatus, and most likely, we will have to wait until next year before we see any new pop culture announcements. I’m taking this time to add a new category to my Blog entitled Minor Curiosities. All posts made under this category will tend to be on the shorter side (<500) and cover topics such as quick product reviews, pop-culture news announcement reactions, advertising impressions, and personal life updates from time to time. Minor Curiosities will serve as my catch-all for things that strike my fancy, where the commentary is too long for Twitter and not long enough for longer post.
Life Update –
For those who may not know, I am currently deployed until summer 2021. During this time, I will be unable to share new and creative crafts or projects with you. However, I’m taking this time to sketch some new ideas and maybe pick up cross-stitching. I feel lost when I’m not able to spend time making something new.
2021 –
My Blog is just over four months old, and while I don’t have a large following, I am proud that I finally took the time to sit down and get one started. The overarching goal is always to use this space as a vehicle to make a deliberate effort towards improving my writing. It doesn’t always come out the way I’d like, but I learn more and more with each post I publish.
Moving into 20201, I’m excited to see what my favorite brands will do in terms of offerings and related marketing campaigns. I’m also interested in doing some Star Wars character analysis on leadership. Although I currently can’t enjoy all the new geek fashion, that doesn’t stop me from planning new outfits. Lastly, the latter half of 2021 is likely to be busy for my family and me, but I plan to finish my Princess Leia Endor dress and make some Mandalorian armor for my son, and I’m dying to make more accessories.
